Pretoria Railway Station is the central rail hub of South Africa’s executive capital, located between the CBD and Salvokop.

The original NZASM terminus opened in 1892, linking Pretoria to Delagoa Bay.

In 1910–12, Sir Herbert Baker’s sandstone‑and‑marble Neoclassical station replaced it, funded by Transvaal surplus ahead of the Union of South Africa.

A 2001 fire damaged its roof, but a R18 million restoration reopened it in 2002.

Today it serves commuter, intercity, and Gautrain-adjacent services
